Policies & Procedures
The Murray County Board of Assessors promotes equitable and adequate treatment for all employees performing duties within the assessor's office. Its goal is to create a work atmosphere revolving around customer service, highly skilled staffing requirements, and teamwork. In order to achieve this goal, each member of the team should display a positive attitude, understand his/her role within the office, and follow all applicable laws governing the assessment process.
The Board of Assessors has adopted the Policies and Procedures, along with both the Murray County Personnel Policy and the State of Georgia Appraisal Procedures Manual. These policies are established to provide uniform methods, valuation techniques, and accurate assessments for all property owners in Murray County.
These policies will be reviewed annually by the Board of Assessors. Any change, addition, or deletion will be approved by majority vote.
